“ETHYMASIA” – JUDGEMENT - CROSS Traditional Byzantine styled Cross – Reversible with eight representations FRONT – Central Panel – A representation of the “Ethymasia” Throne prepared for Christ as Pantocrator (a translation of the Hebrew El Shaddai into Greek) to sit on at the Last Judgment. CROSS BAR – LOBES – To the Throne’s right is the Virgin Mary whose right hand is pointing to the Christ’s Throne. VERTICAL BAR LOBES – TOP St Peter and BOTTOM St Paul. SS Peter and Paul were the most responsible for establishing and guiding the early Church by their actions and writings. The image of this cross shows both sides.
